Fix It!
Fix It! is a collection of digital “recipe cards” to help new and experienced homeowners repair and maintain their home. The idea of using “recipes” came from an attempt I made at making dinner for my wife. At the time, I never followed recipes I just made it up as I went. Needless to say, dinner was a failure even the cats, Frick and Frack, wouldn’t eat it. My wife banned me, for life, from the kitchen and placed me in charge of home maintenance and repair.
Our intent is to provide you with a guide to successfully complete a project for your home. The “recipe card” contains the title of the project, a picture of what’s being repaired, a list of tools and materials needed and finally, a step-by-step set of instructions walking you through the process to a successful end.
Our repair philosophy is right tool-right material for the right job. This means we advocate for using tools and materials for what they were designed to do. Our recipes and recommendations are based on our DIY experience, DIY bloggers, our research and philosophy.
Home maintenance is the best way to preserve and create value in your home. Let us help you accomplish this by using our app. We’re offering this beginning package of 11 recipes.
